Beans in Cup, a prominent office coffee supplier in Sweden, has recently announced the appointment of Richard Roth as its new CEO. Roth, who previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer, took on the role of Acting CEO six months prior to his official appointment. His primary focus as CEO will be to enhance the company’s profitability and expand its market share within the Swedish office coffee sector.
Founded in 2017 through the consolidation of three Swedish coffee companies, Beans in Cup has been a key player in the market since its inception. The merger of InCup, Beans, and Kaffebönan was facilitated by the Swedish investment group Pamica, which currently holds a majority stake of 96% in the business.
Beans in Cup specializes in providing a variety of high-quality bean-to-cup coffee machines from renowned brands like WMF, Thermoplan, Animo, and Etna for workplaces across Sweden. In addition to equipment, the company offers comprehensive support services and sources coffee from various roaster partners, including Kaffebönan, Lavazza, Löfbergs, Arvid Nordquist, Zoégas, and BKI Foods.
With a strategic vision to diversify its offerings, Beans in Cup expanded its portfolio in May 2024 by acquiring HGM Dryckservice AB, a meal solutions provider. This move further solidified the company’s position in the market and allowed it to cater to a broader range of customer needs.
Richard Roth’s transition from CFO to CEO marks a significant milestone for Beans in Cup, signaling a new phase of growth and development for the company. His in-depth knowledge of the business operations and strategic acumen have positioned him as the ideal candidate to lead Beans in Cup into the future.
As Roth assumes his new role, he will continue to fulfill his responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer until a successor is appointed. The Board of Directors, led by Chairman Mats Ulvtorp, expressed confidence in Roth’s ability to steer Beans in Cup towards sustained success and further expansion in the competitive Swedish coffee market.
Beans in Cup’s presence extends throughout Sweden, with 20 regional offices strategically located to serve a diverse clientele. The company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction has been instrumental in solidifying its position as a trusted provider of office coffee solutions in the region.
Through Roth’s leadership and the collective efforts of the Beans in Cup team, the company is poised to capitalize on emerging trends in the coffee industry and reinforce its reputation as a leading supplier of premium coffee solutions for workplaces across Sweden.
