The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for International Delight coffee creamers in 31 states due to spoilage concerns, potentially leading to health issues. The affected products include International Delight Cinnabon Creamer and International Delight Hazelnut Creamer, totaling 75,000 bottles distributed across the mentioned states. This recall, categorized as a Class II recall by the FDA, indicates that the use of these creamers may result in temporary or medically reversible adverse health effects.
The parent company of International Delight, Danone US, initiated the recall as a precautionary measure after discovering that the creamers did not meet quality standards, raising worries about premature spoilage that could affect the texture of the products. Complaints regarding spoilage and related illnesses prompted the FDA to address the issue and emphasize the importance of checking product codes and best by dates to identify the affected items.
